FESTIVE FUN AT SAMAJ PARTY
If Santa keeps attending our Samaj Christmas parties, he might want to think about becoming a Bardai member!
The man in red dropped by at this year’s event which took place on Saturday 21st Dec at the Glen Parva Memorial Hall. Along with two of his reindeer, Santa handed out presents to more than 20 children; some of whom came dressed in fancy dress costume.
The rest – including the grown-ups – got into the festive spirit by wearing Santa hats which were kindly donated to the Samaj by Asda.
The kids were entertained with classic games such as musical statues and musical chairs. And even the grown-ups couldn’t resist joining in!
After boosting their brain cells with pizza, chips and vada pau, guests settled into a quiz which saw the team ‘Himmatwalas’ snatch victory after a three-way tie.
A beautifully decorated venue provided a festive Christmas ambience, and those who attended provided the magic.
The Samaj Christmas subcommittee, led by Paresh Thanki, are thankful to all those who attended the event.
Special mentions go to Heena Dave for providing the music, and to Mayur Kalyani for managing the catering.
And a big thank you to all the helpers on the day who, in true Samaj spirit, mucked in with various jobs and ensured the whole event was a thoroughly enjoyable one.
